A Walk in the Woods

There’s a small wood next to where we live, and each day I walk through it with our two Labradors. It’s where I step away from my desk and into nature. And breathe deeper, dropping back into my body, and feeling the feelings alive in me that get numbed out when my mind is cogitating and my thoughts swirl and chatter.

When moved to, I’ve taken to recording on my phone the ideas, inspirations and reflections that arise from this place of deeper presence. And from that has evolved this series of short recordings. Nature rambles I suppose – in that they capture me, rambling, whilst in nature. And each is as long as it’s takes to walk through this small patch of woodland. So – mercifully – short. Themes emerge, sometimes planned, often spontaneous, which I hope you’ll find useful in understanding my coaching work, and on the dance of human and natural systems we navigate each day.
